We're at it again!

Our first Master Naturalist class of 2022 is ready for you!

Chipco Preserve is pleased to announce the upcoming Florida Master Naturalist Program course: Environmental Interpretation. This course provides 24 hours of coursework through presentations, discussions, and experiential learning.

The course prepares participants to be better environmental interpreters and educators, so that they can effectively speak about Florida’s natural history and conservation issues. We will cover the fundamentals of interpretation, key elements of an effective interpretive program, how to develop themes, how to address diverse audiences, and we will help participants develop interpretive displays and practice interpretive techniques.

Environmental Interpretation is divided into three workshops: interpretive presentations, guided interpretive programs; and interpretive displays. Upon completion, participants will receive an Environmental Interpretation certification, a Florida Master Naturalist patch and a pin from the University of Florida Master Naturalist program.
